Brief: Design a modular font using a grid and modules.
Project: Azulejos, a font inspired by Spanish and Portuguese glazed tiles. We created an expressive, playful and highly decorative typeface while still having a touch of restraint with the square modules and grid.

Process:
Defined our grid: a 1x1 square grid.
Designed our modules: 8 black modules that were square and rounded.
Using the grid, designed letters & numbers with the modules, creating rules for the typeface.
Applied tile patterns to modules.
